Lets see Whats in trend!!!
Mamta maám, the music teacher came in to the class and called “Arti… , is Arti present?”. To that, the subject teacher asked “What’s the matter?”. The shy girl, sitting at the back, who was juggling with her mathematics skills(that too at class 3rd), felt as if she had done something wrong, and she had been asked for punishment. After the permission from subject teacher, Arti was being rescued from Mathematics thrill but was full of fear as what shall happen next.
She was being taken to the Principal Office. With the feeling of anxiety, she greeted the Principal and was waiting as what will happen next. To that, her music teacher said, you had been selected for inter-school solo song competition which shall be organised this week. To that, Arti thought, as when her teacher heard her singing a song? And also, why she had been chosen for the same? Why not somebody else?
To that, Arti agreed. And started her practice of galas day and night. She was super excited as she would be bunking one day from school and shall be travelling to different place to just sing a song.
The day arrived, and she was all set to sing the song. While going onto the stage, she was frightened. As she had stage anxiety. And also in jury team, she saw one of her mother’s friend, Jaya aunty as the jury member. She was super frightened and suddenly the cheerful girl was surrounded with the feelings as What will happen next? Will I be able to perform? Among the mob, she spotted her Mamta maám, who had full confidence in her as she will perform good.
Arti started with her song, but as she was too frightened, her voice broke in the middle. It broke so badly as some of the people, put fingers in their ears. She could easily see the audience reaction. To that, she immediately felt that she had done something really wrong and she shall be getting scoldings back from her music teacher. As she was too frightened, she saw her music teacher. It was very heart warming gesture, as when her music teacher saw her and nodded her head and gave an eye soothing expression from her eyes, and asked her to proceed further with her song.
Arti was over-whelmed by this gesture. She also didn’t knew as why after that she got immense confidence to complete her song. No-one clapped when she completed her song. But only that music teacher was clapping. For Arti, she had won the trophy in her eyes as her teacher was happy. Of course she didn’t win the competition. But she won really something else in her music teacher’s eyes.
That day, she realised, how much tough is the situation is, complete your task which you are assigned with. Don’t think, am I doing right or wrong? And also embrace those personalities who actually supports you in every decision and walk of life.
Special thanks to Mamta Maám. If she would not had been there, Arti would have never taken out her stage fear, and most importantly the confidence, to face the world at each and every walk of life. Arti, is a great singer now, who sings at concerts. And she really admires her music teacher.
“DANCE”…. For some, it is a mere word but for some, it is the form of worship.
This story is about that girl, who has lost all her strings from Dance. Being god-gifted, she used to dance, since she was born. Strange?? yes, it’s truth. Even when the small jingle used to play on TV, the infant used to showcase her talent by moving in rhythm from here and there.
When she started growing up, everybody around her knew, that she is the best talent. And the best part was, that her parents supported her in all walks of her life. Even they asked her to make career in Dance. The only dream, she had was to go in the talent show, the then “Boogie Woogie”. For her, there was no turning back.
She used to participate in each and every dance performances and competitions. Even she had a set of clothing and make-up set for all time, so that she can never miss the chance to be the part of troop. Her teachers even, used to encourage her (and sometimes, it was the best way to bunk her class). She was admired by the beautiful dance form, “Kathak”. As she was the huge fan of Ms. Madhuri Dixit.
She was not at all trained in some specific dance form, but she was really looking forward to it. But due to lack of opportunities, she was not able to. She had that fear in her mind, What will happen when I will leave my school? As for her, School gave her the platform to showcase her talent. Her dream to learn kathak, was slowly coming to end. Focussing on career, (as at the same time, she wanted to be an engineer too) gave up her dancing. Somewhere, she left her soul behind and started her life with no Dance.
She really thought, that she would really learn Kathak when she will get retired!!! But as of now, wanted to be focused for her career.
One day, she got a call from one of the reputed college of India to pursue her engineering from. That day was the most happiest day of her life. While going through the prospectus of the College, she came to know, that the same college gave the opportunity to learn any form of dance. And yes, there was “Kathak” course in the College. That day, not only embarked her life with joy, but also her soul was happy. She got more than the usual which she never thought for.
It was very difficult to manage engineering along with kathak, but she managed to do so. And you know what, she became the topper of her batch, not only in Kathak but also in engineering. People were astonished, as how is this possible? But she knew somewhere, that she not only put her hard work to achieve the same, but also her soul was very happy at the same time. Which helped her to acheive success at her level.
P.S. : No matter, how much is it difficult to achieve what you really wanted to, but do follow you heart, and automatically your soul shall be happy which shall result you to succeed with more ease.
